Chris is great.
We had a clawfoot tub in our backyard that I needed taken upstairs in order for me to paint it. He and his crew came on short notice and hauled it in only a half-hour, with no problems! They even came a few minutes early, and this is a plus in my (Type-A) book.
I was so happy that he thinks "outside the box", and was willing to take on my odd project. I'd call him again and recommend him to everyone. He is very calm, pleasant, professional, and courteous-- and good with toddlers. My son loved him.
MyTruckBuddy came highly recommended, and I am happy to pass it on.

Thanks to this list, I was able to give away a working fridge to a good home with some neighbors, but the neighbors needed a help getting it out of my basement and into their house a few miles away. They called a company called "My Truck Bud," which is a small business owned and operated by Chris Jolma. He had a big pickup and a small trailer, with a dolly, tie-down straps, and all the other accoutrements. He was on time (early, actually) for an 830am Sunday pickup, friendly, professional, flexible, and (from what I understand) below the cost for most other "short-haul" services offered in the area. He's been doing this work part-time for a while, but is now trying to "make a go of it." I absolutely recommend him, if you have a few pieces of furniture or other things you need lifted, hauled, and moved from Point A to Point B!

My husband and I are expecting a baby and ordered an upholstered rocker/glider from a baby furniture store. We only have one car: a Honda civic. The store offered to deliver the chair, but it was really expensive, so I wrote to Chris to ask if this fit in his line of work. He met us at the store (was more than 10 minutes early!) helped lift the chair and ottoman into his truck, secured them tightly, used his GPS device to get our address and met us at our house. He and my husband unloaded the chair, and the entire task took about an hour. So, don’t think you can only call Chris if you are moving – call him to haul items you can’t fit in your car! Chris provides a great service and was extremely flexible to help us solve our problem.

I had Chris pick up some furniture for me at Ikea and take it to my apartment.
First
and foremost, I really felt like I was getting a very personalized
service. He answers e-mails and calls very quickly, and is very
helpful. He was on time, and very quick and efficient and what he did.
He also knows exactly what he's doing and has exactly what he needs for
it.
Oh, and his pricing is pretty damn good too.
Though
my service was just picking up furniture, he has a pickup truck and a
trailer, and can really do any small move, pickup, or basically
anything that's a little too big for a car but too small for the hassle
of getting a U-Haul.
All-in-all, a great experience.

Chris is very personable and brings a hi level of consideration and respect for his clients and their things. His fees are extremely fair and reasonable. Chris has a good attitude towards his work. He was a master at navigating my big furniture pieces through some very tight spaces up and down stairs, around breakable items, and into a basement apartment. It was quite impressive. The exact word I used to describe his work that night was "Hardcore".

He was very careful loading and securing all of my items and took the
same care moving them into my new place.
Moving in general can be pretty stressful and Chris had a great
attitude and sense of humor. Even when we hit a snag using an elevator
up to my condo he still kept a really positive attitude.

Chris, "your buddy with a truck," is very a professional, reliable, very reasonably priced, friendly, and outgoing person, I promise you he is an absolute delight.
I have used Chris' moving services personally now on two occasions. The first time I used the service, I was moving into a new apartment, by the time I arrived he had loaded the truck up with the furniture I just purchased then we were ready to go!
Everything was going smoothly until we made it over to the new place. We were unloading the furniture and I opened the door and yet to my surprise, the people that previously lived there never moved out! We had to change plans fast... a storage unit was the only option. With Chris' great sense of direction and humor, at this point, we were able to navigate to a storage unit and unload the furniture. Then after that, he dropped me off where I needed to go.
The second time I used Chris' service, the situation was much better. The furniture that we loaded a month prior in the storage unit, I was able to sell it and the buyers asked if I can have it delivered. I emailed Chris, and he was available and willing to help me out a second time around. The move was successful, the new buyers of the furniture never expected that we (yes, he and I) helped to unload the furniture, up a narrow stairway, into their place.
If you are looking for an honest and optimistic person along with a great sense of humor, you can't go wrong with your buddy with a truck, Chris Thank you... you are a true life saver.

Chris arrived precisely on time and moved everything quickly, despite the fact that I was physically unable to contribute and he was the only person handling a queen-sized box-spring, an entertainment center, a huge table, and a stairmaster, among other items! He was very prepared with equipment to safely move our furniture; he had tools to disassemble and reassemble items when necessary (e.g., screwdrivers, pliers, etc.); and he had tarps to protect our furniture from the rain. Moreover, Chris's rates were very reasonable and he was friendly and not intimidating or grumpy-qualities I have (unfortunately) encountered in other movers. I have moved FIVE TIMES this year (long story!) and Chris is by far the best mover in price, work, and attitude!

When I needed a buddy with a truck, Chris was available and on very short notice for a great price.
